Foster Hat in Brooklyn Tweed Arbor!

Foster Hat in Brooklyn Tweed Arbor!

Hey Foster Hat!

I can’t believe I decided to design a hat knit flat but here we are! But I wanted to knit garter stitch chevrons without purling so here we go. And it’s just a little seam! I promise!

Finished Size 21” around.

Yarn Brooklyn Tweed Arbor, 100% American Targhee Wool; 145 yds/50g: 1 skein each Burnished (MC) and Seaglass (CC).

Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm): 16” circ. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Waste yarn, tapestry needle, pom pom maker (optional!).

Gauge 20 sts and 40 rows = 4" (10 cm) in garter stitch on larger needles. 24 sts and 34 rows = 4” (10 cm) in 2x2 rib on smaller needles.

It’s a cutie!

It’s a cutie!

Designed with two new colors of Brooklyn Tweed Arbor, this garter stitch chevron hat is knit flat BUT!! it’s ok because you get to knit those chevrons back and forth with little purling. So worth the seaming, right?
