Back a couple lifetimes ago, I designed knitting patterns! Kinda hard to believe as now I spend most of my time ripping them apart. But! You gotta know the rules to break the rules!

Back in 2009 I was writing knitting patterns, sometimes selling knitting kits, writing e-books, and generally trying to figure out how to build a business for myself in the knitting community. And I did that pretty consistently until like 2018 or so! I’ve had patterns published in magazines, a couple books out, etc etc.

I haven’t done much with any of it since 2020, really. And I have been noticing that my prices are MUCH lower than the prices of my fellow designers. I believe that a rising tide raises all ships, so it’s time to raise my pattern prices!
