And today my WIP pile looks like this! My DRK Everyday Cardi hasn’t been touched, but I’ve gone GANGBUSTERS on my new Black Sheep Sweater Vest!
Now - why am I knitting a new Black Sheep Sweater Vest? Well!
I made this one! Which was literally a DREAM! To have a yellow black sheep sweater vest and I wore the shit out of it! But…
Due to a series of unfortunate events, my vest ended up in the washer and felted. Now that neckline is like 9” around! What a shame!
So! I’m knitting another one. I was super inspired by my crop of Black Sheep Sweater Vest students who were really into an entirely black sheep black sheep sweater, and I’m putting in a V Neck this time! So - something totally different!
It’s such a shame my vest shrunk, but shit happens. And with everything else so absolutely fucked right now, it hardly blips the radar.
I’ve got a man free weekend ahead of me and a lot of reality TV stocked, and I’m SO excited to see how far I can get on this thing! I think it’s going to be so cute!

Ok last LAST last thing - officially this is what is launching next week! Laura Allyson Party people will get exclusive access to sign up on Monday, and registration opens wide on Tuesday, April 22nd. I kicked a couple classes to an August start so if there was something in my last preview that isn’t here anymore, they’ll be in August.
I’m also hesitating to schedule to much for July because I’m waiting for my… PORTUGUESE VISA INTERVIEW to be scheduled! We have to travel to checks notes Huston Texas for this?! Which… sucks! But hopefully I’ll have that date the first week in May so I can fill in around it.
I keep burying this information at the bottom of my emails haha - so if you’ve missed it we are trying to move to Portugal this fall! VERY excited to checks notes escape fascism?! Which… sucks!
I keep thinking about how wild it is that a couple generations ago my family immigrated to American from the Netherlands and Poland in search of a better life, and here I am trying to immigrate back to Europe in search of a better life.
