A Note from Allyson

Every summer I’ve got sewing on the brain! I knit all year around of course, but there is something about summer sewing that always sounds so fun!

I’ve made a couple winners lately! Including this Wilder Gown by Friday Pattern Company in a beautiful rayon designed by my friend Jean Johnson for Workroom Social. I wore it to a friends wedding last weekend and got lots of compliments!

I’ve clearly got a thing for Friday Pattern Company lately because I also sewed up their cute new Saguaru Set in some spectacular gingham linen from Blackbird Fabrics. As a set it’s a winner, but I also created a reel about how I can match it with everything in my wardrobe that turned out really cute!

It’s one of the reasons I wanted to launch a garment sewing space in the party! I love garment sewing, and talking about sewing, and talking about patterns, and sewing planning! I haven’t been able to figure out a good way to add sewing to my teaching life - until now! I hope that if you are also into sewing your own clothes you’ll give the Garment Sewing Workroom a shot.
